No, referrals are not required to be treated at our clinic. However, often times we do get letters from family doctors requesting a particular type of treatment for their patient. Feel free to ask your family doctor to write a referral if it will help in communicating with us. We have provided many of the doctors in the area with referral pads so they can effectively communicate their recommendations to our clinic.

Walk-in appointments are always welcome! However, please understand that if a patient has called in advance and scheduled an appointment they will get priority during the time they have reserved. It is always a good idea to book an appointment ahead of time if possible.

A Chiropodist is a Canadian trained and educated foot specialist. A Podiatrist is an American or over-seas trained and educated foot specialist. We are all regulated by the same body, the College of Chiropodists of Ontario. This means that both Chiropodists and Podiatrists have the same scope of practice in the province of Ontario.

We are in a fully accessible building that has easy access for people with wheelchairs, scooters or walkers. Our staff is capable of providing treatment in a way so that people in wheelchairs would not even have to transfer to the treatment chair!

We recommend that everyone have their feet checked at least once a year. It is much safer and allows for more effective management when conditions are identified in their early stages.

For people who have been diagnosed with systemic conditions such as diabetes we recommend have an assessment at least every 6 months, unless more frequent cisits have been recommended

Yes, often times children as young as toddlers have foot problems. If identified early we can often manage these problems so that they do not become worse as the child develops and ages.
